In consultation with a number of leading mathematicians and physicists, the Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton, New Jersey, is working to advance knowledge by:
- Creating stronger networks between South American talent and the broader world of talent
- Collaborating with the South American scientific community to deepen existing strengths and provide opportunities to develop emerging strengths in other areas of math and physics
IAS/South America's inaugural sessions, in July and August of 2027, will assemble international cohorts of scholars to offer two two-week academic intensives in Argentina, designed for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in mathematics.
Explore Higher Categories and Applications (July 5–16, 2027) and The Geometry of Singular Sets: School on Geometric Measure Theory, Harmonic Analysis and PDE, (August 2–13, 2027), and apply, starting November 1, 2026.
