I was born in Montevideo,
Uruguay. In 2001 I finished the Licenciatura en Matemática
(Bachelor in Mathematics) at the Facultad de Ciencias ,
Universidad de la República. Since 1998 I've been a member of the Centro de Matemática
of the same school. I moved to the US in 2001 and I started my graduate
graduate studies at Umass, Amherst . There I did some independent studies
under the guidance of Sarah Whitherspoon
and Frank Sottile. I spent the Spring
semester of 2004 at Berkeley, as a member of the MSRI. I got my Masters at Umass and on the fall semester of 2004 I
transfered to Texas A& M. I spent the Fall semester of 2005 in Munich, at LMU. In december 2006 I finished my PhD under the guidance of Sarah Whitherspoon
(thesis: "On Simple Modules for Certain Hopf Algebras. Since December 2006 I've been back in Uruguay, working on research on Hopf Algebras and Representation Theory.
