How to arrive to Colonia

The way we recommend in order to arrive to Colonia del Sacramento is via Buenos Aires, Argentina. Once in Buenos Aires, you can take a Buquebús ferry, from Puerto Madero (downtown Buenos Aires) to Colonia. There will be special discounts for the participants of the Coloquio. There are buses and "remises" form both of Buenos Aires airports (Ezeiza and Aeroparque) to Puerto Madero.

Where to eat

Lunch and dinner will be at Hotel el Mirador. On friday august the fifth, there will a musical show at dinner time.

Local transportation to and from the Colloquium site

The organization of the coloquium will provide transportation from the other hotels to Hotel el Mirador. The minibus will circulate twice a day, once in the morning when the activities start and once in the evening after dinner.

Visit to the historic site

Friday 5 august, from 15:00 to 17:00, a guided tour to the "Barrio Histórico" (Historical quarter) will be organized. This quarter has been declared by UNESCO "World cultural heritage site".

Currency exchange / credit cards

El Mirador hotel accepts VISA and Master Card credit cards. They do not exchange currency and you will find an office to exchange money near the hotel.

Internet

El Mirador hotel has wireless internet (they do not have spare cards to rent). There are several cyber-coffees at Colonia, some of them near the hotels where participants are lodged.

Registration

We would like to remind the participants that the registration fee will be used to finance the students meal tickets. For this reason, students and the lecturers of the courses are exempted. The registration desk is open:
